Love at first bite. Recommended by a friend, staying loyal as a customer. Got the caliburrito, add guac! I have no regrets eating dinner here. . . Took it to go to my hotel room.. They have self serve carrots and salsa too, who doesn't love that?

    I will be back!

I came here to get the Carne Asada fries I craved and I was left truly disappointed. The whole meal didn't taste that good. When I ordered the fries it was ready within 7 minutes which was peculiar. Last time I was here it took about 15 minutes for the meal to be hot and cooked fully to deliciousness, but definitely not today.

There was no spark. The fries weren't fully cooked, it had raw potatoes in the middle;  the sour cream that was on top tasted 'ehh', couldn't even taste the guacamole that was on it and the asada was too much, it had burnt pieces and just didn't taste good at all. Honestly the meal was extremely saddening. One of my favorite asada fries meal is now disgusting and I won't be back.

Its late at night, the gig just ended..Canters' is a good choice but for something different in the Fairfax area, I recommend these guys. Excellent burritos,my go to is the Carne Asada but for me the taquitos is why I go..They are open until one am ..parking in the back or at late at night up in front are some meters that are off at night

I've had Benito's Taco Shop bookmarked for the longest time but never got around to checking it out. I recently went to DABSMYLA's pop-up art gallery a couple of blocks away and decided to finally cross Benito's off my list. First thing's first - parking is kind of bad in this area. There's a couple of spaces in the back if you're lucky but mostly it'll be street parking. It's a pretty small taco shop so it seems that most people take their orders to go. They're pretty popular with the late night crowd as they're always open late.

Menu is short and simple Mexican food. I got the Carne Asada Burrito with Carne Asada Fries. The quantity of food you get is freakin' crazy! Everything is easily shareable if you're with a group (or you can treat yo' self and attempt to finish your order by yourself if you're brave enough). The burrito is packed to the brim (just like how I like it!) and the fries are a massive treat!

You get a lot of bang for your buck at Benito's! I just wish there was a closer location to me. However, if you're in the area (a couple of blocks away from The Grove and farmer's market), give Benito's a try.
